Leila Farsakh |
Biographical Note Dr. Leila Farsakh is Assistant Professor of Political Science. Area of expertise is Middle East Politics, Comparative Politics, and
the Politics of the Arab Israeli Conflict. She has worked with a number
of international organizations, including the Organization for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris (1993-1996) and the Palestine
Economic Policy Research Institute in Ramallah (1998-1999). Between 2003
and 2004 she undertook a post-doctoral research at the Center for Middle
Eastern Studies at Harvard University. She has published various articles
and studies on issues related to the Palestinian economy and the Oslo
Process, international migration and regional integration. Her Book, Palestinian
Labor Migration, has been published by Routledge Press in Fall 2005.
In 2001 she won the Peace and Justice Award from the Cambridge Peace Commission,
in Cambridge Mass. Dr. Farsakh holds a Ph.D. from the University of London, and an M.Phil from Cambridge University, UK.
